Commission Meeting Update: $2,250 Bonus

Just a quick heads up to all MAGE members. Today I testified at the Civil Service Commission meeting. I reminded them that in any company, public or private, profit or non-profit, if the workers don’t want to work hard to get promoted, it’s broken. I reminded them that MAGE had an agreement with the Office of State Employer (OSE) for a $2,250.00 cash bonus, in addition to our 5% raise. I informed them that granting it to the rank and file (our subordinates) and not to us, would result in an unfixable morale problem. The good news is that the commission approved our agreement today. You will receive your bonus as soon as administratively feasable.
