CSR-MI Lobby Day

As many are aware, the Department of Corrections and the Department of Health and Human Services are facing monumental recruitment, retention, and pay compression problems. MAGE has been working earnestly to address these issues with the Office of the State Employer and Civil Service.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, MAGE representatives Peter Neu and Alyssa Chrisman met with legislators and advocated for enhanced retirement, health care, and pension rights for State employees. Specifically, MAGE is advocating to reinstate the defined benefit pension system to help recruit and retain employees. MAGE continues to take action to improve the pay and benefits so the State has the employees to carry out its important work and services to the citizens
