Morgan Oginsky - Daughter of Melissa Oginsky

My name is Morgan Oginsky! I was born in Grand Blanc, Michigan. I have 1 older brother and I live at home with my parents. I have a dog at home too! I am 19 years old and I play soccer at Eureka College. I went to Flushing high school and at Eureka, I am studying communications and media. I would like to thank MAGE for providing this scholarship to pay for my tuition. 

Connor Barrus - Son of Heather Barrus

My name is Connor Barrus and I’m from Adrian, MI. My mom and dad both have worked for the State of Michigan DHHS for 26 years. I also have a younger brother, Cayden who is a junior in high school. I have a passion and goal of achieving a career in sports media. I currently work for State Champs! Sports Network out of Southfield, Michigan as a reporter/videographer and I cover various sporting events with video and photography. I also run my own sports media pages on various platforms and have a large following within southeast Michigan. I have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) which has had impacts both good and bad mainly on the academic sides at times. I graduated from Adrian High School in Adrian, MI in 2022 and recently graduated in August 2024 from Specs Howard @ Lawrence Tech University with a certificate in Broadcast Media Arts. I’m currently reaching towards a bachelor's degree for media production and plan to continue my studies at either BGSU or University of Toledo.

Joshua Pickens - Son of Latrelle Pickens

My name is Josh Pickens and I am the son of Ms. Latrelle Pickens who currently works for the Michigan Department of Corrections as a Parole Manager.
I graduated from Southfield High School in 2016 and initially went to Culver Stockton College (Missouri) before returning back to Michigan and attending Oakland Community College.  
I have spent these last four years in the United States Air Force, stationed at the Aviano Air Force Base in Italy. 


Shauna Aldred - MAGE Member
My name is Shauna Aldred.  I have been with the State of Michigan for over two decades. I have a husband and two children, one Spartan and one soon to be Spartan, which makes this Alumni Spartan very happy!  We are excited for fall football season and tailgating.  My husband and I are learning how to be empty nesters which is very exciting and sad for this momma.  We enjoy camping and traveling, and we are looking to do much more of that!
